PlaxisImport

PlaxisImport is a tool for geotechnical engineers to import Plaxis 2D results into Microsoft Excel and to produce professional looking charts and tables.

This is guaranteed to improve productivity for geotechnical engineers significantly. Normally for 1 section, it will take about half a day to export all the Plaxis results and properly format them for presentation, and even more if you have multiple sensitivity studies or difficult clients who change the scheme all the time, as we all experience all the time!

With PlaxisImport this procedure will take you only about 5 minutes!

It is estimated that PlaxisImport will save at least 2-3 working days per month on average for geotechnical engineers who use Plaxis 2D regularly. Not to mention all the benefits from reduced stress and frustration due to long hours of tedious work, as well as the almost complete elimination of human errors in exporting results.

The full list of PlaxisImport functions are:

  1. Produce charts and summary tables for ERSS (Earth Retaining and Stabilizing Structure) systems, inclusive of stage by stage forces, displacements as well as envelopes
  2. Produce charts and summary tables of various structural members in Plaxis 2D, inclusive of stage by stage forces, displacements as well as envelopes
  3. Produce the modelled construction sequence as modelled by Plaxis 2D in Microsoft Word.
  4. Apply different load factors to different construction stages (particularly useful for code requirements such as Eurocode)
  5. Supports all the Plaxis structural members (plate, tunnels, embedded piles, geogrids, node-to-node and fixed-end anchors)
  6. All the structural forces that are produced by Plaxis 2D are supported. This includes bending moment, shear forces, axial forces, hoop forces (for axisymmetrical models) and interface forces Tskin, T2, Trel (for embedded piles).
  7. Choose between horizontal, vertical, absolute displacements for your output. For tunnels, PlaxisImport is also able to calculate and plot the radial and tangential displacements.
